Interpretation

I have worked as a volunteer interpreter for VECINA's ReUnite Project since 2021. The goal of this project is to help families and other sponsors to achieve the release of unaccompanied migrant children who are in the custody of the United States Government.

I also worked as a contracted interpreter for Refugee Services of Texas from 2022-2023, assisting case managers and other staff with tasks such as cultural and program orientations, intake paperwork, job interviews and progress evaluations.

I interpret between my native languages of English and Spanish as well as K'iche', in which I am proficient. I have experience interpreting both over the phone and in person in the Austin area.
